​ Title: Cloistered  Author: Catherine Coldstream  Expected Publication: March 12,2024  Publisher: St. Martins Press  Genre: Nonfiction Memior  Pages: 352 pages  Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review:  I picked up this book because it sounded fascinating! Plus, this is a POV of a life I know nothing about, and it's a glimpse into that type of life choice.  While some parts of the book were dull and hard to keep focused on the book there were other aspects that I enjoyed. I love that the author was able to find herself and decide what she truly wanted in life and that is something that many of us do not achieve in this lifetime!  One thing that bothered me is that Coldstream went with everything and did not question it. There was a lot of mental abuse and while this had an extreme eye-opening effect there should have been someone to speak up to stop the abuse. They have a home in the countryside, a good marriage, and a daughter who is happy and thriving while working abroad.  Everything is going really well until they come home from vacation and find Laure in their home, which is not unusual because they are good friends with her and her husband but, it was unexpected. What is more unexpected is Laure came because her husband Pierre has told her he had a child with another woman, and she is very understandably distraught. The formatting and the way the story was written was enticing! I loved how the characters were each telling different aspects of the story and you are piecing the puzzle of what really happened on this trip!  Maylee and her four friends are on a camping trip and Maylee disappears. Her four friends suspect foul play right off the bat and when the police separate them and get them to each tell them what happened that night each has a different story. It seems like each of the characters has some form of motive for Maylee disappearing. The author did an amazing job of mixing the characters and the dynamic plot! Paige and Dylan had a steamy summer romance which abruptly ended when Dylan's sister, Audrey, went missing. Then the summer ended and the next year Paige and her family went back to Dylan's family Summer home again. This time slowly Dylan and Paige decide to team up since it's been a year since Audrey's disappearance and there were no leads they are going to find out what happened to Audrey.
