Review:

After a lifetime in foster care, Charlotte isn't shocked to learn her biological mother died of an overdose. What does shock her, however, is what she discovers while clearing out her mother's apartment—she had a twin sister she never knew about. Intrigued and desperate for connection, Charlotte tracks her down and reaches out. The sisters quickly arrange to meet, and their reunion leads to a fun night out on the town. But the excitement is cut short when Charlotte receives a frantic call from her foster brother begging for help. She rushes to him, but it’s too late—he’s murdered right in front of her. Shaken and desperate to escape the trauma, Charlotte asks her newly found sister if she can leave town with her. Her sister agrees. But when Charlotte arrives to meet her, tragedy strikes again—her sister is murdered right in front of her eyes.In a moment of panic and survival, Charlotte makes a life-altering decision: she assumes her sister’s identity and steps into the life she never knew she had. But the glamorous life Charlotte imagined her sister lived is far from reality. Beneath the surface lies a tangled web of secrets, betrayal, and deadly rivalries. What seemed like an escape turns out to be a deeper entrapment—Charlotte hasn't left the battlefield; she’s stepped right into the lion’s den. Now, she must adapt quickly to avoid being exposed, all while trying to figure out her next move.

This whirlwind thriller is packed with suspense and unexpected twists. I never saw the ending coming—and it absolutely blew me away! I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook for review, and it was phenomenal. The narrator brought the tension and mystery to life, making the entire experience a thrilling ride from start to finish.

Thank you, Harlequin Audio and Netgalley for the opportunity to listen and review this one! It definitely kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat!
