Review:
Kasey is struggling at her new job a friend got her, so when she is put on the spot in a meeting, to pitch an idea. She pitches an idea however, the idea is to market her grandmother and her partner's baking business. When her boss likes the idea, she must return home and try to subtly tell her grandmother what her pitch was, and don't forget her job is on the line.
When she arrives home Kasey doesn't have the heart to tell her grandmother or her partner, however, her teen crush Jackson is at home slowly that spark comes back and they realize they have feelings for one another. However, Jackson's father hates Kasey and doesn't want his son to get involved with Kasey because he has political aspirations for Jackson.
Although with all of that going on, Kasey's boss shows up and puts more pressure on Kasey and she is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Then, on top of that, Kasey has been snooping in the business and realizes that there might be a lead to the deaths around town because their wives bought a package from Gram's business. She must work hard to figure out what her Gram is involved in and settle her feelings with Jackson and then on top of everything she must figure out what to do with her new job and if she will still have it when all of this is going on.
This is a new cozy mystery to me and also a new author to me but, it will not be the last and I loved it! This story had everything mixed into one love, mystery, murder, and then romance all into one!
Thank you, Netgalley Avon and Harper Voyager books for the extraordinary opportunity to read and review this one! I loved it!
