Madeline is taking a break from acting and she returns to her hometown because she inherited a bookstore after her Aunt Rose passed away. From the beginning as soon as she arrives there is a fire in the Gazebo. When the first responders can turn it off they decide to investigate it because the fire happens under suspicious circumstances and they believe arson was a great possibility. To add to the whole scenario Madeline starts receiving threatening phone calls, telling her to leave or they would burn down her home and bookstore.
