Sydney has been experiencing an unfortunate run of online dating lately. With the newest date being a horrid date then he tries to push himself on her and demands a kiss while asking for a second date. Sydney trying to push Kevin away is saved by an unknown doctor and she makes her way home. However, a few days later she finds her friend who lives in her apartment dead when the super comes to finish a work order. She then decides to take a step away from the dating scene because her ex-boyfriend the detective investigating her friend's murder asked her to. All the while Sydney has been receiving phone calls about her friend's children having children into their forties, trying to give Sydney hope that she might still be able to have children later in life. Then, the mystery doctor is at a shop where she is trying dating again when she has a nosebleed and scares off her current date the mystery doctor gets her a new t-shirt and they begin dating. Everything seems to be going wonderful and she thinks she may have found the one until she starts noticing little things. Tom has a separate phone and the phone number she has is not the one he carries, and then he doesn't want her to meet his family and he is very awkward about meeting hers. Starting to suspect Tom as the murderer she does a little investigating on her own and she thinks she may be his next victim!
I loved the alternating POV between the past and present and then at the moment where I thought that I had everything worked out, I realized after that twist I knew NOTHING! This was such a page-turner and oh-so-good! I definitely recommend it!
