OMG This is one that I was really enthusiastic to read because I have loved EVERYTHING that these two authors have written and just a little secret (they didn't let me down! I was glued to my kindle the last 40% of the book!)
Marissa Bishop sought out Avery Chambers to help her with her marriage. Marissa had a fling and she wanted to tell her husband in a controlled environment, where she and he could work out their differences and heal their marriage. Avery is just the unorthodox therapist to do this, see she only takes clients that she can help in 10 visits because she has a system that works. So while they work through her program they can be in a different place than when they first came to see her. So, while it seems that the Bishops are getting through their issues slowly Marissa still has issues with notes and flowers showing up at work and at home, while she is trying to get on with things. It seems that the other man just won't let their one-night stand go.
Avery because she made an anonymous call on a pharmaceuticals company she is kept on her toes by these people trying to find out who she was and who her informant was because they want revenge. So, while she is working with her different clients she is also keeping one eye over her shoulder for anyone from that company.
But like with everything all is not what it seems, while to the outside Marissa and Matthew Bishop may look like the golden couple there is always something just lurking beneath the surface that you never knew was there. If you have read and loved any of their books before you are going to love this one, if not then you really should check out these authors' books they always have a way of keeping you on the edge of your seat!
Thank you so much Netgalley and St. Martins Press for the extraordinary opportunity to read and review this one! (My children thank you because they got to see the awkward excited book dance when I was approved!)
